Michael has more than 20 years’ experience in the corporate finance industry. He has been involved in investment banking and insurance, including corporate advisory, fixed income, futures trading, cross border transactions, foreign exchange and funds management in the United Kingdom and Australia. Michael’s skill base includes equity raising, funds management and general corporate advice. Mr Ramsden is also a founding director of Terrain Capital (AFSL number 240276) and chairman of Terrain Australia Limited. He is currently Chairman of Lowell Capital Ltd & African Mahogany (Australia) Pty Ltd.
Simon Penfold

Simon has over 30 years of experience in the Australian forestry industry and has experience in executive management and all operational facets of developing, maintaining, harvesting and exporting plantations. Simon has worked for forestry companies including, Hancock Victorian Plantations Pty Ltd, Victorian Plantations Corporation, The Department of Conservation & Land Management (WA) and Willmott Forests. Simon is a member of the Institute of Foresters of Australia and the Australian Institute of Company Directors. Simon has completed a Diploma of Forestry, Bachelor of Forestry Science and a Masters of Business Administration.

Steve [LLB, BA, ASIA Dip] is a Director and senior manager with 25 years’ experience in international trade and export, with companies ICI and Bowater PLC. He has worked in Singapore and Hong Kong developing businesses and managing turnarounds, delivering strong sales and marketing results. More recently he headed the export activities for Pentarch Forest Products, the largest log exporter in Australia and built up sales strongly into China, Indonesia and SE Asia worth well over $100m through a strong customer network.

Chris has returned to the Australian forestry industry after nearly 20 years away overseas, based in Brazil. He left Australia 1998, after working in the forestry research arm of North Forest Products and North's plantation development in Tasmania's north and north-east. Whilst overseas Chris diversified his professional skills - working as a retail buyer (electronics) for an export office in the USA, undertaking market analysis at Brazil's STCP forest consultancy and owning/operating a small business (women's clothing) in Curitiba, Brazil. Chris holds a Bachelor of Agricultural Sciences.
Mark Standish

Operations Supervisor, Douglas Daly
Mark joins African Mahogany Australia after 6 years working in the Douglas Daly region as an onsite manager for a contractor at the Quintis Midway site and more recently as a machine operator on Blackbull Station where duties included hay, cattle and cotton. Mark has a lifelong involvement in agriculture growing up on a farm in Esperance, attending Muresk Institute of Agriculture and spending 30 years in the viticultural and wine making industry in Margaret River. He is passionate about sustainable agricultural systems and finding pathways for product to market.
